Here I try to answer some of the most common questions, if there is something I’ve missed or you would like to ask me. Please get in touch.

How does online counselling work?
Online counselling is either done over Zoom (a secure online video conferencing platform) or by telephone.
You will need access to a safe place where you will not be disturbed and a telephone or a way of accessing the internet with a video camera.
Initially we will have a brief phone call to check we are suitable to work together. Then we will have an assessment, this is a full length session where I take some background information. After this, I will ask you to consider whether you would like to proceed with the counselling.
I have trained in working online and am registered with ACTO (Association for Counselling & Therapy Online) to ensure the safety and best practice of the online counselling sessions.

The nuts and bolts: session length, cost, availability and confidentiality.
A session lasts for 50 minutes, allow a little extra for setting up and preparing for the session and at the end for winding down before resuming regular activities.
Each session costs £50 and is payable in advance of the session by bank transfer. If you need to cancel or re-arrange I ask for 24 hours notice.
I have availability all day on Tuesday’s and Friday’s with flexible slots elsewhere in the week too.
I like to do weekly sessions at the same time with you each week, however there is flexibility.
